As usual, your beautiful words painted a wonderful picture of a special person. Even though I had known him for a long time, I got to know more about him when I was helping he and Pat look for a new home. Ironically, we had been out house hunting just before they got the news no parents should have to hear. So heartbreaking for them. Even at his advanced age, I think he died of a broken heart. Your memories of him will give comfort to his family and friends for a long time. So sorry for your loss, my friend.

That was beautifully written. I have done several eulogies for loved ones. What you just said was an awesome tribute What few encounters I had with him, just like you said. He was a very calm and dependable. This should be read at his service.

Thank you son for the beautiful tribute to my favorite BIL! Every word was spot on!

He will be missed by all! Don't know anyone who loved pasta or ice cream more! And was very patient and probably frightened teaching me to drive! Miss you Chuckiepoo!💜

I really should have included something about his love for spaghetti!

I'd forgotten he's who taught you how to drive. You couldn't have asked for a more patient professor. 🙏🏼

I had an Uncle Charlie and an Aunt Mimi! They were brother and sister. Charlie was very much how you described your Uncle Chuck - reliable. Thanks for sharing some of his story. Sending much love to you and your family. ❤️🫶🏻✨

That's great, Robin. Thanks for sharing!

Mimi was my maternal grandmother and the only grandparent I actually had a relationship with. She passed on the 3rd of January 2000, but is still dearly missed and talked about often. 💙

Just now seeing this after a few day reprieve from the internet. I’m so sad to hear this news. Charles was such a wonderful person and so good to his family. I’m grateful he can finally reunite with his son and best friend, Keith.

This is a very difficult time for your family, and I don’t know of anything I can do to help. Please give Cousin Patty a big hug from me and let her know I’m keeping her in my prayers. I love and miss you all. With hugs, tears, and such reverence for your family, Sincerest condolences, Laura
